So Kelly just called and said they have decided to put in a PIC line. Here is a link to more information on what a PIC line is:

Currently Patti has lots of IV's for various things and this PIC line will help to consolidate all of them into one and it also will be much more efficient way to get her meds.
The doctors have not done the vent test for the day and although their goal is still to get her off the ventilator they said they are skeptical that she will be extubated today. But we are staying positive and hoping she proves them wrong!
