Our beloved Patti took her last breaths at about 12:50 pm today. She went very peacefully and was surrounded by her closest family and friends.

I will be posting more details of her memorial service here on the blog when we have them. We also want to make a slideshow of pictures so if you have any pictures please start gathering them and I will post how to get them to me soon.

  2. Thank you so much to those of you who took the time to keep those of us not at Patti's bedside updated on her condition. It was a gift.

A friend commented on Patti's freedom swimming in the pool. I am reminded of words from Emmanuel's Book: "If death could be seen as a beautiful clear lake refreshing and buoyant, then when a consciousness moves towards its exit from a body, there would be that delightful plunge and it would simply swim away."

  7. I was sad to hear of Patti's death on the UU minister's chat. Though I didn't attend Starr King, choosing to go to PSR instead, I did take her class on "Parish Problems and Joys" which has proven so helpful in my ministry.

She also allowed me to sit in on the intern reflection group she led in 2001-2002 and that was a great privilege. We have lost someone special.

  9. Thank you! Patti for touching so many people lives and how Humble you were to always be there when you just needed a Hug or a Sweet Word of Encouragement. I love you and will miss your presents but in Spirit you will always be with me.
